Prologue
In the world of Destiny Islands, a young couple had a child, he was a baby hedgehog. The parents gave him one look, and loved him. So they gave him to his brother, and he took the baby to bed. The couple looked at each other and said "He's our second child" the male hedgehog said. "Plz Jack, not know; the prochecy didn't say they would do anything bad." the female said. The hedgehog said "Hmm, yeah you right; Crystal, but we should at least visit the oracle once more; to find out more." "But" Crystal started to say "The more we know, the more we want to change it, and we all know that has massive consequences. On both us and our children. But yes, I will go to visit him with you; tommorow though." Jack then said "Thank you Crystal, what shall we name our new child?" "Hmm" Crystal thought hard, "AJ the Hedgehog."
Chapter 1: The Devastation
"Come on Aslton, I'm beating you again!" AJ said happily. "Come on AJ, your younger, you can run faster!" Alston yelled in response. "Yeah right, you always say that lazy bum. Your the speedster. "Fine, But remeber you'll never beat me!" Alston yelled at the finish line.
"Aww man, you couldn't of waited until the last second?" AJ said,
"No."
"Why?"
"Cause it's fun to do that to you." Alston said simply.
"Hahaha, Quiet fighting you two, let's go to the tree, because I brought something." Gaia said walking to the finish. "Ok, Race ya the--" AJ started to say when Alston interrupted "Already ahead of ya." he said at the tree. "Alston wins again, Gaia I'll race you." Gaia started to say No when AJ yelled "GO!" But instead of going the long way, AJ jumped up; grabbed the wooden bridge, climbed up, and ran to the tree. "*Sigh* Ok." Gaia said. Then When AJ reached the tree, Gaia used the transportation spell, and appeared next to Alston. "I let you win." Gaia said "I know, but tommorow we'll have a strength contest." "But AJ, don't you remeber? School starts tommorow." Alston said. "And it's getting late." Gaia interrupted. "Lets start paddling home then." AJ said, "Ok" Alston and Gaia said at once.
"Hey anyone else see those clouds?" AJ asked after a long time of silence. "Whoa, those clouds are really dark, looks like a storm is coming. Better hurry up" Gaia said. So the trio ran towards the boat, but AJ stopped. "AJ whats wrong?" Gaia said. "I was wondering whats that glowing thing in the middle is." "Whoa." Gaia and Alston said at once. "Maybe we should go in the shed, I mean it looks dangerous to go on a boat, especially during a storm, isn't that what Mr. Tails always said; when he was teaching weather?" "Yeah that is what he said." Alston said. "But" Gaia hesitated. "C'mon, we've done it before." AJ said. "Yeah, AJ; but not during a storm, our parents wouldn't want that." "They wouldn't want us to go out into the ocean either, just come on." after saying that AJ sprinted into the shed. "C'mon Gaia; you know the shed conncets to the inside within the tree. Nothing bad happens inside." Alston said. "No Alston i know that, but if i know AJ; and I do, he'll be peeping out door to see what the storm does." With a sigh, Gaia reluctatly followed AJ and Alston into the shed.
"Cool! The storm is making wicked waves. Wish it wasn't stormy... then I would go surfing." AJ said with joy. "AJ you don't even surf." Gaia gave him one of her 'looks'. "I know, thats what will make it fun." With a sigh Gaia walked deeper into the fort the kids from like one hundred years ago made. After about two minutes, she reached the 'living room' of the fort. "Hard to believe, this place was made so long ago. It looks so new." Alston said when Gaia walked in. "Yeah, AJ won't go away form the door." Gaia sighed, "He should come deeper in, where it's safer." "I'm going to go check on him, help yourself to some of the pizza we brought." Alston walked the way she came, and Gaia walked towards the table. No one even noticed she told herself, on the table were two presents she brought. I brought something she told her friends earlier, presents for them, since they were her best friends. One for AJ one for Alston, she knew they didn't bring anything for her, but she didn't care. To her, the best present they could ever give her was: just being her friends. She was hoping they would come, so she could tell them about it when she heard AJ yell "What the heck! Ah!" Alston came running into the room and said "Come one, AJ's in trouble and I need your help."
"Help!" AJ yelled. When Gaia and Alston reached the door and saw AJ was in the ocean, out of the door, heading towards a big whirlpool. AJ was using all his might to swim back, but even with all his strength, he was powerless against the whirlpoop. Alston and Gaia started forwards but froze in there tracks after hearing the laughter. Gaia finally got herself to say "What was that!" "Alston replied "I don't know, but we have to save AJ." So Alston and Gaia launched themselves forwards, but found themselves also stuck in the whirlpool. "Nicely done guys! Now what do we do?!" "Thinking of that!" Gaia yelled. Gaia thought for a moment then used her ice spell. If froze the water, but only for a moment. Until it shattered into a million peices. AJ, Alston, and Gaia kept swimming but they were terrified. AJ in his mind sayed I'm going to die, were going to die, but he kept trying. But then AJ saw something that scared him more than the whirlpool. The Island itself was sinking, not only the Island he was just on, but also the Island his parents lived on, the school (he wouldn't miss it though), and where he was raised. His home was collapsing, and he was swimming here for his life.
The sadness and rage gave him strength. Instead of going towards the vortex, AJ was getting farther from it. Gaia and Alston saw AJ moving farther away, so Gaia used her ice spell again using all her might. This time the water froze. Alston the caught her and AJ's hand and ran. Alston stopped at the shallowest part he could find. Luckily the whirlpoop didn't reach them. They all smiled, but then looked around; and saw nothing. AJ started weeping and Gaia and Alston held there tears. They were suprised when they heard a strange voice. "So after all my destrution. After destoying Islands and adults. Three children lived?" The trio looked up and saw a shadowy figure, coming down from the clouds. "Who are you! Why did you do this!" AJ yelled in hatred. "You have lost your brother, and now your family." AJ looked suprised that he knew he had a brother "But lets not talk about that. I destroyed this world, so that all who oppose me; will know Nazo's power." "If you destoyed all this, then why couldn't you destroy us?" Gaia yelled to the figure known as Nazo. "That question also haunts me. It makes me thing of...never mind, but I will destroy you now!" Nazo blasted a beam of pure chaos at the trio. "No!" Alston yelled, so he grabbed his friends hands and ran. Laughing Nazo yelled "You can not go anywhere i can't find you."
Nazo started flying after them. Even Alston with all his speed, couldn't get away from Nazo. But out o nowhere a white portal appeared. "No." Nazo said "No, how dare you interfere you; Hedgehog!" Nazo yelled. Nazo stopped and sent a blast o chaos at the trio. But it was to late, they went through the vortex and escaped the wraith of Nazo. "So, it is them." Nazo smirked. "But this time, the prophecy will be wrong." And when he said that, he willed the vortex to seperated into three parts, and the trio got seperated.
"Aww man, you couldn't of waited until the last second?" AJ said,

Chapter 2: New Friends and Old Enemies
AJ woke up to a hedge-tiger telling him to wake up. "Wake up dude, Wake up." AJ sat up and looked around. "Where am I." He asked, but then realized who he was talking to. "Who are you!" AJ asked fully awake. "Whoa, don't throw a fit, i'm Shazta you can call me Shaz and your in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma." AJ blinked, "Whats Oklahoma?" The hedge-tiger sighed then answered "A state, and can I know how old you are?" "Eleven, why ask anyways?" AJ asked. "Becasue your in the middle of the woods, come on, I'll take you home." Shazta said. AJ looked up sadly, "I don't have a home, not anymore." Shazta looked at AJ, then he replied "Well...maybe i can ask Sonic and Amy if you can stay with us tonight. Then we'll find your house." AJ looked down sadly, but nodded, so Shazta picked up the child and ran out of the woods.
"Shazta who do you have there?" Sonic asked when Shazta entered the house. "Hey Sonic, this is...Oh sorry whats your name again?" AJ said "AJ the Hedgehog." without even glancing up. Sonic said "Well, not there person i was expecting, wonder when he's coming. Well anyways where you from?" AJ said sadly "Destiny Islands, the land fate beloves." Once AJ said that Sonic gasped. "Sonic whats wrong?!" Shazta asked loudly. Sonic started smiling, then he replied to Shaz "Its him, he's one of the three. Your the ones whos going to stop Nazo." Shazta fell silent, after about a minute he asked "I thought you and Shadow stopped Nazo! And one of the three? What are you talking about Sonic?" "Shaz no time for questions, I need you to call Tails." "Fine" Shazta said, then he left for the living room. "Sonic? Like the Sonic. The one who stopped Eggman a million times?" AJ asked with awe. "Yeah thats me, but I want to ask you something." Sonic replied. "Sure go ahead." AJ said with sadness in his voice. "Where are the other two?" After hearing these words, AJ hoped up and started looking around, then punched a hole in the wall and ran outside. With sadness and anger, AJ yelled "Alston Gaia! Where are you!"
"AJ, c'mon you have to come back. You need to rest." Shazta said. "No! I need to find them!"
"No you don't!"
"Yes I do! There my best friends!" AJ yelled.
Shazta fell silent. Shaz knew how it felt to lose a friend, and he knew how AJ felt. Shaz stopped, but before he knew it AJ was ahead of him. AJ kept running, and everytime something was in his way, a tree, fence, or car he punched. Once Shaz came to his senses he started running after AJ. "AJ wait!" he called. Shazta would of caught up to AJ easily if there wasn't any wreckage. "AJ! Wait!" Shaz yelled as he ran after AJ. The only resonse AJ gave was a giant car thrown at Shaz. Of course Shazta easily dodge, but it slowed him down. AJ, as he was running; came across a staff. AJ immediately stopped. He picked up the staff, and looked closely at it. Then he saw the words on it, the read 'Property of: Gaia the Fox.' AJ froze. When Shazta caught up th AJ he said "Hey whats...oh." he also saw the name. "Hey isn't that one of your friends?" Shazta asked. AJ nodded, and he started to cry again. "She...was here, and something happened to her." AJ sobbed. Shazta replied "Oh c'mon AJ, she could of dropped--" before he finished AJ cut in and yelled "She never leaves it, she alwasy tells Alston to remind her. And why would she forget it in the middle of the woods?" "In the woods? where on the roads...oh" Shazta looked around and saw it was in the middle of the woods.
Then he said in shock "When did we come in the woods?" AJ replied sadly once again "A couple of minutes ago." Shazta fell silent. AJ strapped the staff around him, and started looking around. "What are you looking for?" Shazta said. "What do you think? Something happened to them, and i'm going to find them." AJ replied. AJ looked for about an hour, until he finally spotted broken branches with burn marks. "Hey Shazta, is there anything that makes or breaths fire in these woods?" "No why you ask?" "Casue of this." AJ pointed to the branches, Shazta studied them but shook his head. "As far as I know, there's nothing in these woods that make fire." AJ then started walking east.
"Hey what are you doing?"
"Following the tracks."
"Oh." AJ started running once again, so shazta naturally followed.
Finally AJ reached a cave surrounded in glowing symbols, that seemed to float across the rock. AJ thought to himself What is this? Wait...it can't be. Theres only one person I know who can munipulate space. But AJ hesitated to say anything. Shazta realized that AJ fell silent, so to break the akward silence he said "What you just think about AJ?" AJ shook his head and replied "Nothing, lets just go in." And with those words AJ summoned his keyblade, and rushed inside with Shazta at his heals.
When AJ reached an Anti-Chamber, he started hearing "So where is he? Or did you lose him like you lost that idiotic staff of yours?" AJ stopped in his tracks. But before AJ got to think more mystical words started to swarm around him and Shazta. The girls voice trailed off, and she started laughing. "So finally, AJ you come to save your friends?" Then the words literally carried AJ and Shazta to her. Thats where AJ finally got the proof it was her. Floating above a cage made of ever letter of ever language, stood Christine, AJ's childhood friend. "Christine! This is really not a pleasure to see you right now. Let them go, or else; will we have a repeat of what happened 2 years ago?" Christine smirked, "Well, do you remeber what almost happened to years ago? You almost died! If it weren't for these friends of yours you would be dead right now." AJ stared into Christine's eye and asked a question that she would never of expected.
"How did you know we were here? Did Nazo hire you?" Christine hesitated, but eventually answered "How did you know?" AJ smirked for the first time since summer, "Simple, why else would this Nazo guy be trying to kill us then sudddenly you know where we are and want to kill us." the mystical words surrounding AJ and Shazta tightened. "AJ, little help here." Shazta said. "Don't worry, I got this covered. Alston Gaia a little help here." Everyone stared at AJ but only Christine laughed. "You do know even if Nazo didn't hire me I would kill you. But unfortunately I wouldn't be able to find you. Well anyways; Goodbye." The mystical words began to get tighter, AJ could barely breath. Come on AJ, think what can I use to stop space itself. Then the idea came. AJ used all of his strength to lift his keyblade and point at Alston and Gaia's cage then he said "Obey my will, and open!". The keyblade's tip glowed and shot a beam of light at the keyhole on the cage, and it opened.
"What? No!" Christine screamed. Alston unleashed his keyblade and sealed away the words, and Gaia summoned a orb of light to trap Christine. Gaia said in suprise "Why was thats so easy?" laughing Christine answered "This isn't even the real me idiots. Why do you think AJ was even able to lift his arm? Well see ya, if you live." Then suddenly Christine vanished into thousands of floating letters. "Well...that was akward." Shazta said. Then after about 5 minutes everyone laughed, "At least where safe. And i can't remeber the last time i laughed like that." AJ said, but Gaia replied sarcasticly "AJ, the last time you laughed was two days ago."
"Oh yeah."
"Sooo what now?" Shazta asked.
"How about we find a place to stay." Alston replied. But AJ stepped in a said "Shazta kinda let me stay at his house, maybe all of us can?" "Yeah no prob, Sonic might let ya." "Well? Lets go!" With those words all of them set back out towards Shazta's house.
"Shazta who do you have there?" Sonic asked when Shazta entered the house. "Hey Sonic, this is...Oh sorry whats your name again?" AJ said "AJ the Hedgehog." without even glancing up. Gaia said in suprise "Why was thats so easy?" laughing Christine answered "This isn't even the real me idiots. Why do you think AJ was even able to lift his arm? Well see ya, if you live." Then suddenly Christine vanished into thousands of floating letters. "Well...that was akward." Shazta said. Then after about 5 minutes everyone laughed, "At least where safe. And i can't remeber the last time i laughed like that." AJ said, but Gaia replied sarcasticly "AJ, the last time you laughed was two days ago."
"Oh yeah."
"Sooo what now?" Shazta asked.
"How about we find a place to stay." Alston replied. But AJ stepped in a said "Shazta kinda let me stay at his house, maybe all of us can?" "Yeah no prob, Sonic might let ya." "Well? Lets go!" With those words all of them set back out towards Shazta's house.
Chapter 3: The Prophecy
When AJ and the rest walked into Shazta's house, Sonic exclaimed "Where have you been?! And who are theses others?!" Shazta answered "Sorry Sonic, I was chasing AJ while he looked for his friends. And these people are his friends. Gaia the Fox and Alston the Hedgehog." Sonic's expression then soften, but still had the worry in his eyes. "Oh, Gaia, Alston, and AJ. No, no can't be. Tell me before I say anything further is Nazo really unleashed again?" The trio exclaimed in union "How'd you know Nazo is after us?!" Sonic's eyes then got a mixtue of expression's: Sadness, Anger, and Worry. "I know becasue...Tails told me this day would come. When Nazo returned. At first I thought we could take him out, like we did years ago. But Tails told me a prophecy that dosen't envolve Me, Tails, or Knuckles." All of them stared with mystified eyes. "Umm" AJ started to say "What exactly is the prophecy?" Sonic exhaled and then replied "Follow me."
Everyone followed Sonic until he reached Shazta's high school. "Sonic why are we going into my high school?" Sonic didn't answer, he was focused on taking them somewhere. But where? After walking through the school for about 5 minutes, Sonic came up to a door that said "Prof. Tails" "Ok Sonic, why are we going to Tails? Tell us already!" AJ, Alston, and Gaia nodded in aggrement. But yet again Sonic stayed silent, until Tails exclaimed "Sonic! Why are you here so late!?" Sonic sayed in a calm but urgent voice "They seen Nazo." Thats where Tails also fell silent with Sonic, but he replied "Well i'm grading papers, but you can come in, Shazta watch these there will you?" Before Shazta could reply Sonic entered the room and Tails shut it.
"Whats happening?" AJ asked. "I don't know." Shazta replied. AJ looked at Alston and Gaia and realized, they haven't been talking ever since they meet Sonic. "Umm, you guys ok?" Alston burst "Of course! With the legendary Sonic were definetly safe!" Gaia just nodded and smiled.
